For this elegant house on Eaton Square, Randle Siddeley Associates were appointed to create a series of external spaces comprising a unique winter garden connecting the main building with the mews and terraces on different levels.

On the first floor terrace, RSA designed a space for outdoor seating enclosed by trellis panels on four sides. The focal point is a lead water feature that sits at the far end and produces a pleasant and soothing sound. Cypresses are located at the corners as accent plants, while box hedging and climbers create an intimate green room.

The winter garden is the core of the house. Its mosaic flooring, designed by RSA and manufactured in Italy, is an exuberant display of different types of marble mosaics with geometrical and floral patterns. The mirrors and bespoke trellis panels that adorn the four walls create trompe l’oeil effects. Lush kentia palms are contained in solid oak and cast iron planters.
