Landscape design for Building Schools for the Future, Lambeth

RSA won the bid to form the landscape design and construction management team as part of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) scheme for secondary schools in the London Borough of Lambeth.

RSA produced a landscape master plan for hard and soft areas and roof terraces for The Elm Green School, with sustainability playing a key part in the design. The site is compact and the existing buildings have to function throughout the duration of the new schools’ construction. This created a challenge to maximize the use of the site for the new school whilst creating space for play and other curriculum and community needs.
