Garden design in Old Church Street, Chelsea, London

This small roof garden located in the heart of Chelsea was designed with simplicity in mind. Clean lines and clipped planting were used to achieve a semi-formal garden that facilitates special efficiency whilst ensuring it remained open and uncluttered.

The main characteristic of the garden is the bronze water feature that was installed along the main wall with clipped taxus hedges on either side providing structure. The water feature added movement and ambient noise to the small-enclosed space.

Planting for the scheme was carefully chosen to provide further interest and ensure year round colour with the ‘Pom Pom’ clipped Liqustrum hedge creating a living sculpture.
