Garden design for Georgian Country Estate, Gloucestershire

Situated in a steeply sloping Cotswold valley, the restoration of this Georgian country estate with its Grade ll listed house centred on reworking the steeply sloping gardens that were overshadowing the rear of the house.

An initial major cut and fill exercise to over two acres adjacent to the rear of the house created a series of new gardens incorporating a swimming pool, tennis courts and terraces. Green oak and Cotswold stone from the estate were used to form the terraces and steps.

The views and links to the wider countryside were carefully balanced to achieve an open, elegant setting in the classic English landscape style.
