Landscape design for Greenwich Millenium Village,Phase 3,4,5

RSA have been appointed to provide landscape services for the final phases of the GMV. High quality landscape and open space is a key feature of Greenwich Millenium Village.

The streetscape and public realm creates a strong unifying framework for the development and the proposals build on the principles set out within the Tovatt Erskine master plan. These are:
- Reinforcing logic of public realm and open space.
- Connecting existing phases into current.
- Creating a route with invitations for activities.
- Ensuring permanent, flexible and transient activities.
- Providing an identity.

The elements of the landscape will include a pedestrian spine route including; seating, public art which connects to the previous phases, a public piazza with breakout areas for retail use, play areas with a range of facilities for children within safe access from residential units and the first phase of a linear park creating a strong and distinctive urban edge to the village.
