Landscape design for Kirkstall Forge Phase 1, Leeds

Following the appointment of Architects Fielden Clegg Bradley, RSA commenced revisions to the original landscape master plan strategy.

The key opportunity was to create a dominant public space and destination using a single north/south link at the centre of the site, focusing on the proposed railway station. This has ensured that there is an opportunity for a stronger identity of place with the main public space and a destination in the centre of the site.

RSA are working closely with FCB to provide an Accordia-style development (2008 Sterling Prize winning scheme), where the streets are organized in a clear hierarchy, with a reinvention of the mews as a place of recreation and social congress.
