The Boltons Garden Design
Garden design for The Boltons
The bold design of this small but prestigious London garden affords a deceptive illusion of depth and space. The adventurous employment of structured features is laid out to a contrastingly simple grid design.
The ground floor conservatory opens onto a pale paved limestone terrace edged with contrasting darker York stone. The raised hexagonal granite water feature was designed using honey beige and mulberry Italian granite, which adds warmth and movement to this area of the garden. Steps lead down from this terrace to one of two lower terraces, specially excavated to give direct garden access from both the property’s poolroom and gym.
The front garden has also been transformed into a knot garden using box hedges with topiary specimens. Seasonal planting ensures there is a carpet of colour throughout the year. Purpose made gates complete the holistic design and frame the spectacular magnolia tree.
